Professionally, I go by the pen name Pensir (also known as J.P Spencer). The pen name was officialized by the USPTO as of January 2024. If a label's necessary, you can think of me as a quy who spends a lot of
time hunched down at a desk stroking a pencil or ink pen against a sheet of paper for the sake of a visual narrative. Some people call that process creating comics.
When I'm not at the desk, you can often find me in Coney Island, New York alternating between conversating with people
and occasionally drawing my perception of them (as seen in the photo above).
While you're following me here, you can expect work-in-progress (and occasionally finished versions) of illustrations like the ones on the "portfolio" -page, photographs of mostly landscapes, and
the occasional comic strip about something more or less funny I witnessed while venturing outside in this urban jungle by the name of New York City.* But most importantly, you'll
receive freguent-ish updates on my 5-year old baby, which is a graphic novel series by the name of "Day with Hope" **.
